Advocacy groups
The patient advocacy groups detailed below are independent organizations focused on improving the care of patients with that particular molecular alteration. They provide a wealth of information for patients using patient-friendly language and can connect patients with an extended network of others who have previously navigated or are currently navigating a similar diagnosis. These groups also contain useful information for providers, including relevant clinical trials to consider. They also frequently sponsor research meetings, as well as research grant funding geared toward projects in that particular molecular subtype of cancer.
